I use this on my upper denture only. I only need a little hold to keep it on. It does not work on the lower denture. At the end of the day I want to be able to take my upper denture off without a lot of residue left on my upper pallet and this works great for that. I am having trouble finding it though. I use the regular formula for my lower denture. If it happens to come loose in the middle of the day I will use the zinc free formula for the rest of the day. Makes it easier to remove.
I have used this product for three years on my top denture and it lasts way past 12 hours.I just had my bottom done and used it on the bottom and it is the same working great.I will try the original and see if that works the same.
Have been using Fixodent for many years and have always been satisfied with its strong hold. Rarely did I have to reapply during the day. Recently, though, I purchased the No Zinc Added tube. Am very disappointed to say the least. It just doesn't hold my dentures for very long. I now have to reapply at least 3 times a day! Needless to say, I don't recommend the No Zinc formula, and will go back to using your other Fixodent denture creams that I know work.

HelloThanks for you recent review on our Fixodent Neutral. We appreciate it! Our denture adhesive should hold for 12 hours. If it is not lasting that long, it could be caused by the following:The fit of your dentures.Your nutritional health and saliva flow.Very hot or cold food.Changes in the condition of your gums or bone structure. The condition of your dentures. The medication you are taking. You are not following the proper instructions on how to use the product. For creams - making sure you are applying to dry dentures. I've been a denture wearer for the past 45 years. I've used Fixodent "Complete" for a good portion of that time with great success. "No Zinc" version does not hold my dentures in for more than an hour. It starts to turn slimy and I have to refill my lower denture.
First, let me thank you for your long time loyalty to our Fixodent product. We are sorry we disappointed you when you tried this version instead of your usual. I will pass along your comments to the appropriate folks. Please know that we are more than happy to replace it for you. Thanks.
